Akita Northern Happinets (B1 League) signed 31-year-old Lebanese international 182cm point guard Ali Mezher for the upcoming season. Mezher played for Beirut Club in the Lebanese LBL league for the past two years. In the 25 games he played recently, he averaged 9.3ppg, 4.3rpg, 9.2apg, and 1.6spg last season.

He has also been a member of the Lebanese international program for some years. Mezher has regularly played for the Lebanese senior team since 2016 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2012.

He also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers this year. During this event, he scored an average of 2.8 ppg and had 3.2 rpg.

Mezher has also played for other Lebanese teams such as Sagesse, Maristes, and Hoops.
In 2024, his team reached the Dubai International Tournament Semifinals. He was selected for the Asia-Basket.com Lebanese League All-Domestic Players Team in 2024.
