Lebanese LBL round 16 best performance: Henry Sims (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Henry Sims (208-C-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for CS Maristes, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Beirut Club (#2, 12-2) 97-89. Maristes maintains the 8th position in Lebanese LBL. Maristes is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-9 record. Sims just recently signed at Maristes, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Georgetown University star has very solid stats this year. Sims is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 12.5rpg) and averages impressive 53.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young French power forward Karim Ezzeddine (206-F/C-1997) of CS Maristes. Ezzeddine had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Of course Maristes cruised to a 97-89 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Beirut Club (#2, 12-2). Maristes' 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-9 record. Ezzeddine is one of the most experienced players at Maristes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Zach Lofton (193-G-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (#3). Lofton showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Sagesse, leading his team to a 98-84 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Antonine (#5, 7-7). Sagesse is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 12-2 record is not that bad... Lofton has a great season in Lebanon. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.9ppg (2nd best) and assists with 7.3apg (3rd best).

9. Unique McLean (188-G-1997) of Tadamon - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Tyler Bey (201-F-1998) of Homentmen - 12 points and 16 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
