Tompkins is back at Al Riyadi, ex Santurce

Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (WLBL) signed 33-year old American forward Angela Tompkins (188cm-1991, college: Wichita State). It is actually her comeback to Beirut as she has played here before. She played last summer at Cangrejeras de Santurce in Puerto Rican BSNF. In three games she had 13.3ppg, 6.3rpg and 2.3apg.
She is quite experienced player. Tompkins has played in eight different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). She has played previously professionally in Australia (Dolphins and Chargers), Cyprus (Asbis AEL Limassol and Etha), Greece (Panionios, Panathlitikos and Giannena), Israel (Elitzur Ramla and Hapoel Jerusalem), Jordan (Al Fuheis), Mexico (Rojas) and Turkey (Urla, Cesme, Bodrum and Antalya). Tompkins won Puerto Rican BSNF championship title in 2024.
Among many awards she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Turkish TKBL Forward of the Year in 2023.
She graduated from Wichita State in 2018 and it will be her eighth season as a professional player.
