Antonine lands Michael Watkins, ex NLEX RW

Michael Watkins

CS Antonine (LBL) landed 29-year old American 206cm forward Michael Watkins (college: Penn State). He played recently at NLEX Road Warriors in Filipino PBA league. In 13 games he averaged impressive 26.7ppg, 20.8rpg, 1.4apg and 2.7bpg last season. The last season summer he played at Soles (LNBP) in Mexican league. He also played for Piratas de la Guaira (SPB) in Venezuelan league.
Watkins is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Latin American and of course North American leagues. Watkins has played previously professionally in Colombia, Israel (Hapoel Haifa), Mexico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic (Metros, Parque Hostos and Titanes), NBA G League (Delaware Blue Coats) and The Basketball Tournament (HV Hoopers).
Among many awards his team won Dominican Republic LNB Regular Season in 2021. He was also voted to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan SPB Defensive Player of the Year in 2024.
Watkins graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2020 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
