Homentmen tabs Shabazz Muhammad, ex Trotamundos

Shabazz Muhammad

Homentmen Beirut (LBL) signed 31-year-old American 198cm small forward Shabazz Muhammad (college: UCLA) for the upcoming season. He played most recently at Trotamundos in the Venezuelan SPB league. In 10 games he recently played, he recorded very impressive stats: 18.4ppg and 6.4rpg last season. Last season he played for the Kings in the NBA G League.
In 2013, he was drafted by the Utah Jazz (NBA) in the first round (14th overall). He graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles, and it will be his 12th season in pro basketball.
Muhammad is a very experienced player. He has played professionally in China (Guandong Tigers, Loongs, Leopards, and Shaanxi), Philippines (Beermen), NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), Lebanon (Beirut Club), NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold), and PBL (Just Hoops). His team made it to the NBA G League Semifinals in 2024.
Muhammad was selected to the Chinese CBA All-Star Game in 2019.
