Homentmen tabs Zach Lofton, ex Meralco Bolts

Zach Lofton

Homentmen Beirut (LBL) has signed 31-year-old American 193cm guard Zach Lofton. Lofton played college basketball at NM State and is represented by agency Slash Sports. He most recently played for Meralco Bolts in the Filipino PBA league, where he averaged an impressive 35.7ppg, 7.3rpg, and 4.3apg in three games this season. He was also named League Player of the Week. Lofton also played four games in the East Asia Super League, where he had remarkable stats of 30.5ppg, 5.8rpg, and 2.5apg. He briefly played for Ahly Benghazi (D1) in the Libyan league.
He's a highly experienced player, having played professionally in eight different countries across four continents: Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. His previous teams include Liaoning Yi Sheng in China, Seawolves in Germany, Kazma in Kuwait, Dynamo in Lebanon, Grand Rapids Gold in the NBA G League, Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League, and Panamaniacs in The Basketball Tournament.
In 2023, his team won the Lebanese League Regular Season, earning them numerous awards. Additionally, he was chosen as the Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Guard of the Year in the same year.
He graduated from New Mexico State University in 2018 and this is his sixth season in professional basketball. He also played for other colleges such as Texas Southern University, University of Minnesota, Illinois State University, and San Jacinto College.
