Homentmen Beirut (LBL) has acquired the services of Kalin Lucas, a 34-year-old American point guard who stands at 185cm tall. Lucas, who played college basketball at Michigan State, most recently played for Al Sharjah in the UAE ULB league. Prior to that, he had a stint with Jahraa in the Kuwaiti league.
He attempted to reach the NBA and participated in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is a highly experienced player, having played in various countries across four continents thanks to his career in professional basketball. He has gained familiarity with leagues in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and North America. Some of the countries he has played in include China (with the Eagles), Greece (with Olympiacos), Israel (with Hapoel Jerusalem, Ironi Nahariya, and Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Italy (with Forli), Kuwait, Puerto Rico (with Gigantes), Serbia (with Crvena Zvezda), Turkey (with TED Ankara, Bandirma, and Merkezefendi), as well as in the NBA (with the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Sacramento Kings, and Memphis Grizzlies) and NBA G League (with the Iowa Wolves, College Park SkyHawks, Stockton Kings, and Grand Rapids Gold). In 2023, his team reached the UAE League Semifinals.
Among the many awards he received, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention in 2021.
He graduated from Michigan State University in 2011, and this upcoming season will mark his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in professional basketball.
Let's take a closer look at his outlook.
The lightning quick point guard possesses great penetration skills, enabling him to effortlessly enter the lane. Additionally, he is proficient at scoring from long range. Furthermore, he thoroughly enjoys pushing the ball in transition.
