Raphiael Putney agreed terms with Homentmen

Raphiael Putney

Homentmen Beirut (LBL) has strengthened their roster by adding 33-year-old American power forward Raphiael Putney, who stands at 207cm tall and played college basketball at UMass. Putney most recently played for Team Heartfire in the U.S. In the four games he played in the recent Basketball Tournament, he averaged 7.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. Prior to that, he played for Aguada in the Uruguayan league.
He attempted to reach the NBA and participated in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2017.
He is a highly experienced player, having played professionally in fourteen different countries across five continents. He has played in Australia, Colombia (Team Cali), Dominican Republic (San Lazaro and Reales), France (Chalon/Saor), Hungary (Atomeromu), Israel (Next Urban Maccabi Haifa), Italy (Paperdi Caserta and Scafati), Puerto Rico (Atleticos), South Africa (Tigers), Taiwan (Suns), Uruguay, Venezuela (Guaiqueries), NBA (Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs), and NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce, Indiana Mad Ants, Iowa Wolves, and College Park SkyHawks). In 2023, he won the championship title in The Basketball Tournament and was voted the Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic LNB Player of the Year.
He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2014, and this upcoming season will mark his tenth in professional basketball.
