Emily Potter (ex Panathinaikos) is a newcomer at Club Beirut

Sporting Club Beirut (WLBL) added to their roster 27-year old Canadian ex-international power forward Emily Potter (196cm-1995, college: Utah). Potter started the season at Panathinaikos in Greek A1 league. In 24 games she recorded 12.0ppg, 6.9rpg and 1.5apg. She helped them to win the cup and make to league final. Quite impressive season as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Second Team. Potter also played 5 games in Eurocup where she averaged 13.6ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.6spg.
She was also a member of Canadian international program for some years. Potter played for Canadian Senior National Team between 2013 and 2019 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2013.
She represented Canada at the Panamerican Games in Lima (Peru) four years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 3.5ppg, 4.0rpg.
Potter is quite experienced player. Thanks to Potter's pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in four different countries. She has played previously professionally also in Mexico (Astros), Poland and Czech Republic (KP Brno).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she won Mexican LNBPF championship title in 2022. Potter was also selected Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Rookie of the Year in 2022.
She graduated from University of Utah in 2018 and it is her fifth season as a professional player.
The scouts decsribe her following way: Potter, a graduate of Utah, left the program boasting school records in single-season (89) and career blocks (215), and she was the first player in Utah women?s basketball history to register 1,500+ points, 1,000+ rebounds and 200+ blocks in a career. During her senior season, Potter was named All-Conference and All-Defensive honorable mention by the Pac-12 coaches, and she capped her college career ranked 11th in scoring (1,635) and fifth in rebounding (1,037). Potter?s final three seasons at Utah saw the Utes make consecutive trips to the WNIT, including a third-round appearance in 2016.
