Alexander's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old Cliff Alexander (203-C/F-1995, agency: MSG) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Sagesse and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed Liders (#7, 4-7) with 36-point margin 112-76. It allowed Sagesse to take over top position in the Lebanese league. Sagesse has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. In the team's last game Alexander had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Sagesse's top player in his first season with the team. University of Kansas graduate has very impressive stats this year. Alexander is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.4ppg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 65.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jesse Jones (183-PG) of Homentmen. He is American guard in his first season at Homentmen. In the last game Jones recorded impressive double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Homentmen was edged by the higher-ranked Antranik (#6, 4-7) 104-101. This loss caused Homentmen to drop to 10th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Homentmen managed to get this year. Jones is a newcomer at Homentmen and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.6ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 5.1rpg and 5.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Victor Bermudez (193-G-1992, agency: BIG) of Byblos (#12). Bermudez showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. Despite Bermudez's great performance Byblos lost 79-84 to the higher-ranked Champville (#5, 6-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Byblos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-10 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Bermudez has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.2apg (5th best). Bermudez attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
