Ali Haidar

Defending champion Beirut Club (LBL) added to their roster 31-year old international power forward Mohamad Haidar (203cm-109kg-1990, college: Michigan Tech) for new 2022-2023 season. It is actually his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. Haidar played last season at Dynamo (LBL). In 20 games he recorded very impressive stats: 20.2ppg, 9.1rpg, 2.8apg and 1.2bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Center of the Year. The last season he played at Champville where in two LBL games he averaged 11.5ppg, 7.0rpg and 2.0apg in 2020-2021 season. Haidar also played for Al-Hashd in Iraqi Superleague. In 18 games he had also remarkable stats: 20.6ppg, 9.1rpg, 2.9apg and 1.1bpg. He also spent pre-season at Al-Manama (Premier League) in Bahrain league.
Haidar also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon five years ago. Haidar's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 7 games: 12.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.7apg, 1.1bpg, FGP: 46.8%, 3PT: 25.0%, FT: 63.6%.
He is quite experienced player. Haidar's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in six different countries. Haidar tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Canada (Saskatchewan), Jordan (Al Wihdat), Qatar (Al Gharafa), Slovenia (Sencur Gorenjska gradbena druzba Kranj) and Libya (Al Nasr).
Haidar graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2013 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
