Ibrahim Haddad (98) put on an amazing game in the last round for Moutahed, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (31 points, five rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Anibal (#10, 0-12) with 33-point margin 90-57. Moutahed is placed at 7th position in Lebanese LBL. Moutahed is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-7 record. In the team's last game Haddad had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Moutahed, through which he has constantly improved. Ibrahim Haddad has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 1.3ppg).
The second best player in last round's games was 34-year old former international swingman Nadim Souaid (192-G/F-86, agency: BIG) of Sagesse. Souaid had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Sagesse to another comfortable win 89-76 over Hoops (7-5) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Sagesse to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Souaid is well-known at Sagesse and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 7.0ppg (#3).
Third on the list of top players last round was French guard Gabriel Salibi (203-G, agency: BIG) of Hoops (#6). Salibi showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, five rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Salibi's great performance Hoops lost 76-89 to Sagesse (7-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Hoops needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Salibi has a very solid season. In 3 games in Lebanon he scored 13.0ppg. Gabriel Salibi has also Lebanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
