Best players of Lebanese LBL round 15- May 26, 2021
The 26-year old guard had a double-double of 30 points and ten rebounds, while his team outclassed Homentmen (#9, 2-10) with 56-point margin 116-60. Champville maintains the 5th position in Lebanese LBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Champville will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. In the team's last game Chartouny had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Champville, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Marquette University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Chartouny is in league's top in points (4th best: 18.5ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 8.5rpg), assists (5th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 3.4spg. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Champville's star - 33-year old former international swingman Elias Rustom (197-G/F-87). Rustom impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course together with Chartouny he helped Champville with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Homentmen (#9, 2-10) 116-60. Champville's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 7-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Rustom is one of the most experienced players at Champville and similarly like Joseph Chartouny has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.2ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 6.4rpg and 3.9apg. The third best performed player last round was former international guard Rodrigue Akl (187-PG-88) of second-ranked Beirut Club. Akl scored 12 points and passed fourteen assists (!!!). He was a key player of Beirut Club, leading his team to a 83-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Byblos (#7, 5-7). Beirut Club needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Akl has a great season in Lebanon. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.3apg (4th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Patrick Bou Abboud (199-F-87) of Beirut Club - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists 5. Jad Bitar (204-C/F-88) of Champville - 16 points and 6 rebounds 6. Aziz Abdel Massih (192-SG-96) of Champville - 17 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists 7. Ziad El Ali) of Byblos - 18 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists 8. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
