Arakji re-signs at Al Shamal

Defending champion Al Shamal Doha (D1) confirmed in their roster 25-year old Lebanese international point guard Wael Arakji (194-85kg-94). He was a team leader there last season. In two D1 games he had very impressive stats: 17.5ppg, 5.0rpg and 7.5apg. Arakji also played for Al Riyadi (LBL) in Lebanese league where in two games he recorded 10.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 4.0apg.
He has been also a member of Lebanese international program for some years. Arakji has regularly played for Lebanese senior team since 2015 and previously for U18 National Team between 2011 and 2012.
He also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup Winner three years ago. Arakji's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 5 games: 16.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.8apg, 2.0spg, FGP: 62.8%, 3PT: 42.9%, FT: 55.6%.
Arakji has played previously professionally in China (Royal Fighters) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks). He won Qatari League championship title.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Arakji was voted Asia-Basket.com All-FIBA Asia Champions Cup 1st Team in 2019.
