Chabibeh Sporting Club (WLBL) waived 26-year center Chelsea Poppens (188-F-91, college: Iowa St.). In 3 WLBL games she recorded just 12.3ppg while shooting a low 32.5% this season. Poppens also spent pre-season at Gigantes de Carolina earlier that year. She averaged just 9.5 points per game while shooting 45.5%.

In 2013 she drafted by Seattle Storm (WNBA, 2rd (18)). She played in 8 games with the San Antonio Silver Stars (WNBA) she averaged 1.1ppg, 2.1rpg.
