Astana outrebounded Caspiy Aktau 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Astana players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Robert Pan (202-1995) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international guard Vadim Chsherbak (194-1993) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Astana players scored in double figures. Astana's coach Ramunas Cvirka allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Eric McGill (190-1996, college: SIU) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists and the former international forward Konstantin Neff (198-1997) added 22 points and 4 assists in the effort for Caspiy Aktau.

American guard Elijah Hardy (188-1999, college: CSUSB) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Forward Nazim Adylbekov (200-2001) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Hardy is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Marty Jackson (198-2000, college: St.Leo) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Akylbek Oralbekov (186-2002) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
