Higher League Round 13: No surprise as #1 Bars defeat Caspiy Aktau

Higher League top team - Bars (13-1) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Caspiy Aktau (5-9) in Petropavlovsk 73-63. Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-1994) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and forward Stanislav Rovovoy (196-1992) chipped in 22 points and 6 steals. At the losing side forward Artem Rolgeyzer (192-2002) responded with 17 points. Caspiy Aktau's coach Evgeny Gorev rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bars have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Caspiy Aktau lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Barsy 2. They are looking forward to face Gotobeles (#6) in Nur-Sultan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Forward Begzod Mammatrimov (198-2004) came up with 7 points and 8 rebounds for Barsy 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Bars. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Barsy 2 at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Caspiy Aktau. Bars will play against Gotobeles (#6) in Nur-Sultan in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Nikita Timofeev fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Zahar Medovskoy produced 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Almaty L.. They moved-up to second place. Caspiy Aktau lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Barsy 2. Almaty L. will meet Barsy 2 (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Caspiy Aktau will play against ChelSU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by ChelSU's players.
