27-year old American power forward Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Kobe Storks and receives a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 57.
He had a double-double of 38 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Kumamoto V. (#3, 35-23) 95-91. It allowed Storks to consolidate first place in the Japanese B2 League. Kobe S. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 53-5. In the team's last game Childs had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Storks's top player in his first season with the team. In the last game Alkins recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Volters was edged by slightly higher-ranked Kobe S. (#1, 53-5) 95-91. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in West. Kumamoto V. still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 35-23 record is not bad at all. Alkins is a newcomer at Kumamoto V. and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 8.8rpg and 5.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to James Bell (196-SF-1992, agency: Slash Sports) of Pass lab Yamagata Wyverns (#5). Bell got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was a key player of Wyverns, leading his team to a 89-86 win against slightly lower-ranked Shizuoka (#7, 14-44). Yamagata can only dream about fighting for top spots in West. They have rather bad season and 15-43 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bell has a very solid season.
