The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Gambarous (24-6) in Takamatsu on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by third ranked Five Arrows (21-7) 68-59. American forward Jacob Lampkin (206-1996, college: Alaska-Anch.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Arrows have a solid four-game winning streak. Kagawa maintains third position with 21-7 record having five points less than leader Tokushima Gam. Tokushima Gam. at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Kagawa are looking forward to face Yamaguchi (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tenth-ranked Samuraiz (11-17) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Albirex (19-13) in Niigata. Albirex managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Samuraiz. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aruma Hamada (178-1997) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Mutombo Jean-Pierre who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. New Zealand forward Hyrum Harris (204-1996, college: Umpqua CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
