Tenth-rankedSamuraiz (11-17) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Albirex (19-13) in Niigata. Albirex managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Samuraiz. Niigata A. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Kanazawa was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aruma Hamada (178-1997) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and center Mutombo Jean-Pierre (206-2002) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Albirex players scored in double figures. New Zealand forward Hyrum Harris (204-1996, college: Umpqua CC) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Dutch forward Jediael Cordilia (206-2002, college: Mt.St.Mary's) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Niigata A. maintains fifth position with 19-13 record. Kanazawa at the other side keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost.
