Australian Power forward Nick Kay (206-PF-1992) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shimane Susanoo Magic, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 27 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Nagoya DD (#2, 21-7) 97-88. Magic maintains the 5th position in their group in the Japanese B1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Shimane SM will need more victories to improve their 16-12 record. In the team's last game Kay had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Magic, through which he has constantly improved. Nick Kay averages this season 17.4ppg and 8.9rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young Greek Zach Auguste (208-C-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Shiga Lakestars. Auguste had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Lakestars lost that game 71-79 to slightly lower-ranked Toyama G. (#12, 9-19). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. Shiga L-Stars dropped in the standings to 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-17 record. Auguste is a newcomer at Shiga L-Stars, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Sean O'Mara (208-F/C-1995) of Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya (#8). O'Mara showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Fighting Eagles, leading his team to a 104-87 easy win against the lower-ranked Akita NH (#13, 5-23). The chances of FE Nagoya ranking at the top of West, however are very questionable as they have already lost 16 games, recording just twelve victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, O'Mara could help FE Nagoya to bring them higher in the standings. O'Mara has a great season in Japan. After 27 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (3rd best).

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
