American Guard Christopher Smith (193-G-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hiroshima Dragonflies, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, six rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Yokohama BC (#9, 4-6) 94-79. Dragonflies maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Japanese B1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hiroshima D. will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. In the team's last game Smith had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Dragonflies's top player in his first season with the team. Former Utah State University star has very solid stats this year. Smith is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.8ppg) and averages impressive 65.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tyler Cook (206-PF-1997) of Cyberdyne Ibaraki Robots. Cook had a very good evening with a double-double of 19 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Robots was edged by the higher-ranked Tochigi Brex (#2, 8-2) 68-65. This loss caused Ibaraki R. to drop to 13th position in East. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Robots managed to get this year. Cook is a newcomer at Ibaraki R., but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Greek center Zach Auguste (208-C-1993, agency: Pensack Sports) of Shiga Lakestars (#5). Auguste showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 7 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Lakestars, leading his team to a 79-76 win against slightly higher-ranked Sendai 89ers (#5, 5-5). Shiga L-Stars needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in West. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Auguste has a very solid season. In 10 games in Japan he scored 16.5ppg. He also has 7.0rpg, 2.3spg and a FGP of 59.8%.
