American Yoeli Childs (203-PF-1998) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Kobe Storks and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B2 League Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 27-year old power forward had a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Kumamoto V. (#6, 1-8) 74-68. It allowed Storks to consolidate first place in the Japanese B2 League. Kobe S. have a solid 8-1 record. Childs turned to be Storks's top player in his first season with the team. Brigham Young University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Childs is in league's top in points (5th best: 19.0ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dutch center Matt Haarms (221-C-1997) of second-ranked Ehime Orange Vikings. Haarms impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Orange Vikings to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#5, 4-5) 84-47. Ehime's second position in West has not changed. His team's 7-2 record is not bad at all. Haarms is a newcomer at Ehime and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Ehime OV's star - American Mitchell Watt (208-C-1989, agency: Octagon Europe). Watt showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Ehime Orange Vikings, helping his team with a 84-47 easy win against the lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#5, 4-5). Orange Vikings needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in West. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Watt has a very solid season. In 9 games in Japan he scored 15.9ppg. He also has 7.9rpg, 4.1apg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 58.3%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Clay Mounce (199-F-1998) of Iwate - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Shuto Terazono (172-PG-1994) of Kobe S. - 23 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Anthony Gaines Jr. (195-G/F-1993) of Kagoshima - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
