This is still too early stage of the Regular Season in B2 League and we should expect many changes in upcoming rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Round 6 most important game was a victory of Fukuoka R. over 6th ranked Iwate 73-59 on Saturday night. Rizing made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Rizing had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Justin Burrell (204-1988, college: St.John's) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds. Spanish Pablo Aguilar (204-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds for Big Bulls. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fukuoka R. (3-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with Bambitious. Iwate at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Aomori W. and Yamagata. Fukuoka R. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate will play at home against Fukuoka R. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Nara. Fourth ranked Nara (3-3) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Wyverns (2-4) 75-72 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wyverns. American players dominated the game. Forward Jaemyn Brakefield (203-2000, college: Ole Miss) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Nigel Spikes chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Noah Waterman (211-2000, college: Louisville) with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Bambitious moved-up to third place, which they share with Fukuoka R. Yamagata at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Iwate and Aomori W.. Bambitious will play against Yamagata (#5) at home in the next round. Yamagata will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Brave Warriors (5-1) which hosted in Nagano 4th ranked Excellence (2-3). Second ranked Brave Warriors had an easy win 98-59. Daiki Tsuchiya notched 21 points and 7 assists to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds by Elyjah Williams did not help to save the game for Yokohama. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kobe S. and Fukushima. Loser Excellence keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Kagoshima. Shinshu will meet at home Yokohama (#4) in the next round. Yokohama will have a break next round.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 6: Fukui B. smashed Aomori W. on the road 104-79. Fukushima won against Kagoshima on its own court 80-76. Ehime managed to outperform Kumamoto V. in Matsuyama 71-64. Shizuoka was rolled over Kobe S. at home 71-98.
The most impressive performance of 6th round was 14 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists by Angus Brandt of Shizuoka.




Iwate - Fukuoka R. 59-73

Shinshu BW - Yokohama EX 98-59

An interesting game for Brave Warriors (5-1) which hosted in Nagano 4th ranked Excellence (2-3). Second ranked Brave Warriors had an easy win 98-59. Shinshu outrebounded Yokohama 50-32 including a 37-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shinshu looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Yokohama's players. notched 21 points and 7 assists to lead the effort and American Mike Daum (206-1995, college: S.Dakota St.) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Brave Warriors players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Elyjah Williams (201-1998, college: Northwestern) did not help to save the game for Yokohama. His fellow American import guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) added 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Kobe S. and Fukushima. Loser Excellence keeps the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Kagoshima. No shocking result in a game when third ranked Blowinds (4-2) crushed 7th ranked Watts (2-4) in Aomori 104-79 on Saturday. Fukui B. outrebounded Aomori W. 40-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Fukui B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. American Ryan Kelly (211-1991, college: Duke, agency: Slash Sports) notched 23 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and Lithuanian forward Rapolas Ivanauskas (208-1998, college: Cincinnati) supported him with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Even 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by American center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Aomori W.. His fellow American import Rashard Kelly (203-1995, college: Wichita St.) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blowinds have a solid four-game winning streak. Fukui B. moved-up to second place, which they share with Ehime. Aomori W. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Iwate and Yamagata. Fukui B. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aomori W. will play against Fukui B. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather expected game when 3rd ranked Rebnise (2-3) lost to first ranked Firebonds (5-1) in Fukushima 76-80 on Saturday. American power forward Jack Nunge (213-1999, college: Xavier) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) supported him with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Four Firebonds players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds by American swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) did not help to save the game for Kagoshima. Czech Patrik Auda (206-1989, college: Seton Hall, agency: Octagon Europe) added 19 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Firebonds have a solid four-game winning streak. Fukushima maintains first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Shinshu and Kobe S. Loser Rebnise dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Yokohama. Fukushima will meet at home Kagoshima (#5) in the next round. Kagoshima will have a break next round.

Strangely Kumamoto V. outrebounded Ehime 45-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. American Shaquille Hines (201-1993, college: UTRGV) notched 17 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import center Mitchell Watt (208-1989, college: Buffalo, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Even a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds by American forward Mitch Lightfoot (203-1997, college: Kansas, agency: Slash Sports) did not help to save the game for Kumamoto V.. The other his fellow American import import swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) added 13 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ehime maintains second position with 4-2 record behind leader Fukushima, which they share with Fukui B. Kumamoto V. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Shizuoka. Ehime will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
