Experienced American Charles Jackson (208-C-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for Kyoto Hannaryz and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 32-year old center had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Toyama G. (1-1) 94-85. Thanks to this victory Hannaryz moved-up to the 5th position in Japanese B1 League. Kyoto H. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Jackson has many years of experience at Hannaryz, through which he has constantly improved. Tennessee Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 25.0ppg) and averages solid 73.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Yante Maten (201-F-1996) of San-en NeoPhoenix. Maten impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course NeoPhoenix cruised to a 95-85 relatively comfortable win over Osaka E. (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Maten is one of the most experienced players at San-en NP and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Australian Nick Kay (206-PF-1992) of Shimane Susanoo Magic (#3). Kay scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Magic, leading his team to a 86-74 win against Koshigaya A. (#13, 0-2). Shimane SM has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Kay also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Kay has a very solid season. In 2 games in Japan he scored 17.0ppg.
