Kawasaki Brave Thunders (B1 League) signed 28-year-old USA ex-international center Emanuel Terry (206cm-100kg-1996, college: LMU) for the upcoming 2025-26 season. He was the best rebounder at Besiktas in the Turkish BSL league. In 38 games, he had 7.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to both the league and Cup finals after they ended the regular season as the second-best team. In the 2024-25 season, he was named to the Eurobasket.com All-Turkish League Honorable Mention. Terry also played 16 games in the Eurocup, where he recorded 6.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.4apg, and 1.0spg. The previous (2023-24) season, he played for another Turkish team, Manisa (BSL). He was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2021.
Terry is a very experienced player who has played in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia, and North America). He has played professionally in France (Entente Orleans 45), Israel (Hapoel Jerusalem), Italy (Trieste and Udine), Serbia (Crvena zvezda), NBA (Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings), NBA G League (Sioux Falls, Stockton, Cleveland Charge, and San Diego Clippers), South Korea (Samsung Thunders), and NBA Summer League (Orlando Magic, OKC Thunder, and Sacramento Kings).
He won the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League championship title in 2021 among many awards. He was also voted All-SAC Player of the Year and All-SAC Defensive Player of the Year back in 2018.
He graduated from LMU in 2018 and it'll be his 8th season as a pro player.
