What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most important game in the last round took place in Shizuoka between third ranked Chanson V-M (15-13) and sixth ranked Toyota BSR (11-17) on Saturday night. Chanson V-M was crushed by Toyota BSR at home 53-74. Toyota BSR forced 19 Chanson V-M turnovers. Point guard Nanami Tsuno (158-2004) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Center Jessica Wariebimo (188-2005) contributed with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Kuke Haruka (166-1995) replied with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Chanson V-M. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota BSR maintains sixth position with 11-17 record. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the third place with 13 games lost.

An interesting game for Denso I. (24-4) which played road game in Kashiwa against 4th ranked Eneos S. (13-14). First ranked Denso I. had an easy win 87-64. Evelyn Mawuli notched 16 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 11 points and 5 assists by Moeko Nagaoka did not help to save the game for Eneos S.. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Denso I. have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. Loser Eneos S. keeps the fourth place with 14 games lost.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 14: Toyota A. beat Aishin AW on the road 62-52. Bottom-ranked Hitachi Cougars lost to defending champion Fujitsu RW on its own court 62-84. Toyota A. managed to outperform Aishin AW in Nagoya 63-48. Bottom-ranked Hitachi Cougars lost to defending champion Fujitsu RW at home 40-74. Denso I. crushed Eneos S. on the opponent's court 81-53.
The most impressive performance of 14th round was 10 points and 4 assists by Mai Kawai of Denso I..

Aishin AW - Toyota A. 52-62

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Toyota A. (13-15) beat 7th ranked Aishin AW (10-19) in Anjo 62-52 on Saturday. The former international point guard Mai Yamamoto (163-1999) notched 14 points, 5 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and Maika Miura (166-2001) supported her with 15 points. Even 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists by the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) did not help to save the game for Aishin AW. Very expected game when 8th ranked Hitachi Cougars (4-24) were smashed by second ranked Fujitsu RW (22-6) in Hitachinaka 84-62 on Saturday. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Cougars' 20. Fujitsu RW looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hitachi Cougars' players. The former international forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-1993, college: Queens, NY) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Nigerian center Mfon Joshua (190-1999) supported her with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
