American Center Grant Jerrett (208-C-1993) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Link Tochigi Brex Utsunomiya, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 39.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 40 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Hokkaido L. (#5, 13-26) 98-91. It allowed Tochigi Brex to consolidate first place in the Japanese B1 League. Tochigi Brex have a solid 33-6 record. In the team's last game Jerrett had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He has many years of experience at Tochigi Brex, through which he has constantly improved. Grant Jerrett averages this season 15.4ppg and 6.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Alize Johnson (206-SF-1996) of Kawasaki Brave Thunders. Johnson had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led Brave Thunders to another comfortable win 96-78 over the higher-ranked Hiroshima D. (#5, 18-21) being unquestionably team leader. Kawasaki's 8th position in West has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 13-26 record. Johnson is a newcomer at Kawasaki, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Davante Gardner (203-F/C-1991) of SeaHorses Mikawa (#3). Gardner showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of SeaHorses, leading his team to a 85-68 easy win against #3 ranked Chiba Jets in a game of the week. Sea Horses M. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in East. Their record at this point is 27 victories and 12 lost games. Gardner has a very solid season. In 39 games in Japan he scored 16.2ppg. He also has 6.2rpg, 3.5apg and a FGP of 62.2%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
