Johnathan Williams III

Chiba Jets (B1 League) released 29-year old American power forward Johnathan Williams III (206cm-94kg-1995, college: Gonzaga, agency: Diamond Sports). In 17 B1 League games he had 11.8ppg, 9.1rpg, 3.1apg and 1.3bpg this season. Good year as he was named League Player of the Week. He also played for another Japanese team Shizuoka Veltex earlier that season.
He represented USA at the World Championship U17 in Kaunas (Lithuania) thirteen years ago. Williams's team won Gold and he had 7 points per game.
Williams is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Asia and of course North America). Williams has played previously professionally in Germany (Chemnitz), Israel (Maccabi Effie Capital Rishon Le-Zion), Italy (Dolomiti Trentino), Philippines (Masters), Turkey (Galatasaray), NBA (LA Lakers and Washington Wizards), Japan (Fighting Eagles and Grouses), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers and Capital City Go-Go) and NBA Summer League (Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings).
Among many awards his team made it to the PBA Commissioner's Cup Final Four in 2024. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-PBA Commissioner's Cup Import Player of the Year in 2024.
Williams graduated from Gonzaga University in 2018 and it is his seventh season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: University of Missouri, University of Memphis.
