Brave Thunders sign a second foreign player

Sacha Killeya-Jones

Kawasaki Brave Thunders (B1 League) have signed 25-year-old American (who also has a British passport) 212cm power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones (college: NC State) for the new season. He is the second import player on the roster, with USA's Alize Johnson having signed earlier. Killeya-Jones was the top scorer for Surne Bilbao Basket in the Spanish Liga Endesa last season, averaging 12.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.5bpg in 32 games. He also had impressive stats in 13 games in the FIBA Europe Cup, with 15.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 1.2apg, and 1.1bpg, helping his team reach the semifinals. During the previous (2023) summer, he played for the Lakers in the U.S. semi-pro league NBA Summer League. Killeya-Jones has been a regular member of the British Senior National Team since 2017.
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Israel (Hapoel Gilboa Galil), Poland (MKS), and the NBA G League (OKC Blue).
He won the Czech Republic 1.Liga championship title in 2019. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Honorable Mention in 2022.
Killeya-Jones graduated from North Carolina State University in 2019 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball. He played also for University of Kentucky for 2 years.
