Zylan Cheatham signs at Dolphins

Nagoya Diamond Dolphins (B1 League) signed 28-year-old USA ex-international 203cm forward Zylan Cheatham (college: Arizona State) for the upcoming season. He most recently played for Brooklyn Nets in the NBA Summer League. In 5 games he averaged 3.6ppg, 3.4rpg, and 2.0apg last season. He played for Breakers (NBL) in the Australian league during the last season. He was a member of the USA Senior National Team two years ago.
Cheatham is a very experienced player. He has traveled the world during his pro career, playing in five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Australia, and North America). Cheatham has played professionally in Australia, Germany (Bayern Muenchen), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans, Miami Heat, Utah Jazz, and Minnesota Timberwolves), NBA G League (SLC Stars, Iowa Wolves, Erie BH, and Birmingham Squadron), and NBA Summer League (Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets).
In 2023, his team reached the German Bundesliga Semifinals. He was part of the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team and was selected for the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team in 2019.
He graduated from Arizona State in 2019 and it'll be his sixth season in pro basketball. Cheatham played also for San Diego State University for 3 years.
