Fukui Blowinds (B3 League) inked 33-year old American 211cm power forward Ryan Kelly (college: Duke, agency: Slash Sports) for upcoming season. He has played for the last six years at Sunrockers Shibuya in the B1 League. In 51 games he averaged 11.8ppg, 5.4rpg and 2.2apg last season. B3 League will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
In 2013 he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (48th overall). The former Duke University standout is in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He was a member of USA Under 18 National Team back in 2008.
Kelly is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Spain (Real Betis), NBA (Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and LA Lakers), Spain and NBA G League (Maine Celtics).
Kelly's team won Japanese B League Emperor's Cup in 2020.
