Golden Kings outrebounded Alvark Tokyo 39-28 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American power forward Allen Durham (198-1988, college: Grace Christian) who saved his team from a defeat with 16 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Victor Law (201-1995, college: Northwestern, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Golden Kings' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international forward Ryan Rossiter (206-1989, college: Siena) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Lithuanian center Arturas Gudaitis (211-1993) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Alvark Tokyo.

Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 93-103

Jets outrebounded Tochigi Brex 50-34 including 21 on the offensive glass. Jets looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. The former international point guard Yuki Togashi (170-1993) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn State) who recorded 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (191-1990) added 20 points and 5 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
