B3 League Round 47 (Regular Season): No surprise as #1 Fukui B. defeats Yamaguchi

The teams have now bigger motivation at this stage of Regular Season. Every game can be crucial and decide about teams' position at the end of Regular Season. The round 47 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

B3 League top team - Blowinds (40-4) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifteenth ranked Pats Five (15-31) in Fukui 121-81. Fukui B. shot 61.6 percent from the field and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Fukui B. outrebounded Yamaguchi 38-25 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukui B. shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). point guard Masashi Hosoya (173-1989) helped adding 18 points and 7 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Fukui B. maintains first place with 40-4 record. Yamaguchi at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 31 games lost. They share it with Shinagawa. Fukui B. are looking forward to face Tokyo Utd (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Yamaguchi will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 47: Yokohama won against Saitama on the opponent's court 87-80. Okayama unfortunately lost to Tokyo Utd in a home game 79-86. Shinagawa recorded a loss to Tokushima Gam. on the road 71-89. Toyoda was defeated by Tokyo Z on its own court 70-79. Tokyo was smashed by Tachikawa in a road game 97-72. Gifu lost to Kagoshima at home 89-97. Kagawa outscored Veertien Mie on the opponent's court 87-63.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 12 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists by Andrew Randall of Kagawa FA.



Saitama - Yokohama EX 80-87

There was a minor upset in Saitama where 4th placed Broncos (30-16) were defeated by sixth ranked Excellence (28-18) 87-80 on Sunday. Yokohama outrebounded Saitama 56-44 including 18 on the offensive glass. Yokohama looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Saitama helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American guard Anthony Lawrence II (201-1996, college: Miami, FL, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian center Klavs Cavars (208-1996) helped adding 20 points and 16 rebounds. Naturalized American center Will Creekmore (205-1989, college: Missouri St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yokohama maintains sixth place with 28-18 record. Saitama at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 16 games lost. Yokohama are looking forward to face Tachikawa (#8) at home in the next round. Saitama will have a break next round.

It was a great evening for Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-1991) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. New Zealand forward Taane Samuel (200-1999) responded with 28 points and American forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-1985, college: FAU) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted Tokyo Utd maintains seventh place with 25-19 record. Okayama lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 30 games lost.
