Regular Season Round 47: Veertien Mie - Kagawa FA 63-87

Very expected game in Yokkaichi where 16th ranked Veertien Mie (12-34) was crushed by third ranked Five Arrows (34-10) 87-63 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Andrew Randall (198-1990, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) helped adding 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Five Arrows players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Martin (201-1995, college: Santa Clara) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and guard Riku Sasayama (185-2001) scored 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Five Arrows have a solid series of three victories in a row. Kagawa maintains third place with 34-10 record having six points less than leader Fukui B. Veertien Mie lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 34 games lost. Kagawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Veertien Mie will play on the road against Tokyo (#10) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
