Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked San-en NP (34-8) in Yokohama on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked B-Corsairs (19-23) 81-76. Yokohama BC looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Filipino-American center Kai Sotto (220-2002) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). International guard Yuki Kawamura (172-2001) contributed with 20 points and 11 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Coty Clarke (201-1992, college: Arkansas, agency: Slash Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for San-en NP. Yokohama BC maintains sixth place with 19-23 record. San-en NP lost fourth consecutive game. They still keep top position with eight games lost. They share it with Alvark Tokyo. Yokohama BC are looking forward to face Toyama G. (#8) at home in the next round. San-en NP will play against Kawasaki (#3) in Kanagawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game for Hiroshima D. (22-20) which played on the court of Saga B. (21-21). Fourth ranked Hiroshima D. had an easy win 85-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ballooners. It was a great evening for American forward Kerry Blackshear Jr (208-1997, college: Florida) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 4 assists. Dwayne Evans helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American Yoeli Childs (203-1998, college: BYU) responded with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hiroshima D. maintains fourth place with 22-20 record, which they share with Sunrockers Sh. and Akita NH. Newly promoted Saga B. keeps the fifth position with 21 games lost. Hiroshima D. will play against Kyoto H. (#8) on the road in the next round. Saga B. will play against Nagasaki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Eighth-ranked Robots (7-35) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Alvark Tokyo (34-8) in Mito on Wednesday. The visitors from Tokyo managed to secure only three-point victory 99-96. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Robots. It was an exceptional evening for Leonardo Meindl who led the winners and scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Alvark Tokyo's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Luke Maye came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds for Ibaraki R. in the defeat. Alvark Tokyo keeps a position of league leader, which they share with San-en NP. Ibaraki R. at the other side keeps the eighth place with 35 games lost. Alvark Tokyo will meet Gunma CT (#4) on the road in the next round. Ibaraki R. will play against Chiba Jets (#3) and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 43 were not that significant. Gunma CT beat Chiba Jets on the road 95-86. Hokkaido L. was destroyed by Tochigi Brex on its own court 79-101. Nagoya DD unfortunately lost to Nagasaki in a road game 82-94. Osaka E. recorded a loss to FE Nagoya at home 70-77. Kyoto H. was crushed by Ryukyu on the opponent's court 106-80. Sendai 89ers were smashed by Akita NH in a home game 59-90. Toyama G. was destroyed by Shimane SM on the road 97-75. Shinshu unfortunately lost to Kawasaki on its own court 88-92. Sea Horses M. recorded a loss to Sunrockers Sh. in Tokyo 64-71.



Chiba Jets - Gunma CT 86-95

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fourth ranked Thunders (24-18) beat 3rd placed Jets (27-15) in Chiba 95-86 on Wednesday. Gunma CT looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized American forward Michael Parker (200-1981, college: Evergreen St.) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American guard Trey McKinney-Jones (198-1990, college: Miami, FL) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. American guard Christopher Smith (193-1994, college: Utah St.) came up with 33 points (!!!) (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward John Mooney (206-1998, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Chiba Jets in the defeat. Five Gunma CT and four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Jets' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Thunders have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Gunma CT moved-up to third place, which they share with Shimane SM. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the third position with 15 games lost. Gunma CT will meet at home league's second-placed Alvark Tokyo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play against Ibaraki R. in Mito and hope to secure a win.

Very expected game when 7th ranked Hokkaido L. (12-30) was smashed by first ranked Tochigi Brex (35-7) in Sapporo 101-79 on Wednesday. Tochigi Brex shot 60.3 percent from the field and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American guard DJ Newbill (193-1992, college: Penn St.) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Nagasaki (17-25) won against at home much higher ranked Dolphins (28-16) 94-82 on Wednesday. Nagasaki forced 22 Nagoya DD turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Matt Bonds (196-1995, college: St.Michael's) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import power forward Nick Perkins (203-1996, college: Buffalo) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four Nagasaki players scored in double figures.
