The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Alvark Tokyo (29-5) in Chiba on Wednesday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked Jets (21-13) 75-74. Important game to mention about took place in Shimane. Eighth ranked Kyoto H. (11-23) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging second-ranked Magic (21-13) 75-72 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic. It was an exceptional evening for Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. Kevin Jones accounted for 17 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Perrin Buford (198-1994, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for Shimane SM in the defeat. Kyoto H. maintains eighth place with 11-23 record. Shimane SM at the other side keeps the second position with 13 games lost. They share it with Chiba Jets. Kyoto H. will play against higher ranked Kawasaki (#4) in Kanagawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Very expected game in Akita where 8th ranked Robots (3-31) were defeated by fourth ranked Happinets (17-17) 64-50 on Wednesday.
