34-year old ITA-USAn forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-F-1989, agency: Pensack Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for Osaka Evessa and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 31.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Yokohama BC (#6, 14-17) 100-89. Osaka E. maintains the 7th position in their group in the Japanese league. Osaka E. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-18 record. In the team's last game Caloiaro had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Osaka E.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of San Francisco graduate has very impressive stats this year. Caloiaro is in league's top in points (7th best: 18.2ppg) and averages solid 65.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Scott Eatherton (208-F/C-1991) of Nagoya Diamond Dolphins. He is American forward in his 3rd season at Nagoya DD. In the last game Eatherton recorded an impressive double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Dolphins lost that game 85-91 to slightly higher-ranked Sea Horses M. (#2, 21-10). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in West. Nagoya DD still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 18-15 record is not bad at all. Eatherton is one of the most experienced players at Nagoya DD and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Osaka E.'s star - forward Shawn Long (208-F-1993, agency: Pensack Sports). Long showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Osaka Evessa, helping his team with a 100-89 win against slightly higher-ranked Yokohama BC (#6, 14-17). The chances of Osaka E. ranking at the top of Central, however are very questionable as they have already lost 18 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Long could help Osaka E. to bring them higher in the standings. Long has a great season in Japan. After 31 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.1rpg (5th best).
