Japanese B2 League round 41 best performance: Jamel McLean (by Hoops Agents)- March 2, 2023
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 36 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Fukuoka R. (#5, 15-28) 90-85. Kumamoto V. maintains the 3rd position in their group in Japanese B2 League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Kumamoto V. will need more victories to improve their 25-18 record. In the team's last game McLean had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Kumamoto V.'s top player in his first season with the team. Jamel McLean averages this season 17.0ppg and 7.2rpg. The second best player in last round's games was young American Josh Harrellson (208-F-1989) of Fukushima. Harrellson had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds. Of course he led Fukushima to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tokyo Z (#7, 10-33) 98-61. Fukushima's 3rd position in East has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 21-22 record. Harrellson is a newcomer at Fukushima, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was Spanish forward Pablo Aguilar (203-PF-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) of league's second-best Nagasaki. Aguilar showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, fifteen rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Nagasaki, leading his team to a 100-89 win against the lower-ranked Bambitious N. (#6, 13-30). Aguilar has a very solid season. In 19 games in Japan he scored 10.8ppg. He also has 8.8rpg, 3.2apg, 2.1spg and FGP: 59.1%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Alex Davis (206-F-1992) of Aomori W. - 22 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists 5.
