American Chris Olivier (202-F-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) had an amazing evening in the last round for Shanan Utd and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 30-year old forward had the game-high 40 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Shanan Utd in his team's victory, helping them to crush Toyoda (#12, 6-12) with 17-point margin 84-67. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Shanan Utd is placed at 9th position in Japanese B3 League. Shanan Utd is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-11 record. In the team's last game Olivier had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Shanan Utd's top player in his first season with the team. Oklahoma State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Olivier is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.1ppg. Olivier is in league's top in and averages solid 59.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Antypov (203-F-1995, agency: BIG) of Kanazawa. Antypov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 37 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Kanazawa was edged by the lower-ranked Veertien Mie (#14, 5-13) 76-73. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Kanazawa keeps 10th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-11 record. Antypov is a newcomer at Kanazawa and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.8ppg (#4). He also registered 9.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American AJ Bramah (201-F-1999) of Shinagawa (#16). Bramah got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . Despite Bramah's great performance Shinagawa lost 75-82 to the higher-ranked Shizuoka (#2, 16-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Shinagawa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. Bramah has individually a great season in Japan. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 11.1rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Yasin Kolo (208-C-1992) of Toyoda - 31 points and 9 rebounds
5. Noah Dahlman (202-F-1989) of Gifu - 19 points, 16 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Gerald Beverly (202-F/C-1993) of Iwate - 20 points and 7 rebounds
7. Tavario Miller (203-F-1994) of Shizuoka - 18 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists

10. Kristian Doolittle (201-F-1997) of Iwate - 17 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
