Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most important game in the last round took place in Iwate between third ranked Iwate (20-11) and eighth ranked Aisin AW (15-12) on Saturday night. Iwate was defeated by Aisin AW in a tough game at home 66-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Iwate. American players dominated the game. Forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Marcus Dove (206-85, college: OK State) contributed with 10 points, 25 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 18 rebounds for Iwate. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW maintains eighth position with 15-12 record. Iwate at the other side dropped to the fourth place with 11 games lost. Aisin AW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Iwate will play again at home against Aisin AW (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in Yamaguchi. Twelfth ranked Yamaguchi (11-20) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Tokyo HT (13-12) 91-90 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tokyo HT. American players dominated also this game. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 16 assists and Robert Sampson who added 26 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Power forward John Fields (205-88, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Yamaguchi have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Yamaguchi maintains twelfth position with 11-20 record. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Yamaguchi will again play against higher ranked Tokyo HT (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tokyo HT will have a break next round.
The game between fourth ranked Kagoshima (20-5) and 13th ranked Toyoda (6-23) in Renova on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Kagoshima outscored guests from Aichi 107-65. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by Christian Cunningham who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds by Jalen Billups did not help to save the game for Toyoda. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagoshima have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Toyoda lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 23 games lost. Kagoshima will again meet at home Toyoda (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyoda will have a break next round.

In the last two games of round 32 Saitama beat Shizuoka on the road 87-83. Okayama destroyed Shinagawa on its own court 105-65.



Shizuoka - Saitama 83-87

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Saitama (17-10) beat on the road 5th ranked Shizuoka (17-8) 87-83 on Saturday. They outrebounded Shizuoka 43-28 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) supported him with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-88, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Shizuoka. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Four Saitama and five Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Saitama have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 17-10 record. Loser Shizuoka keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Okayama. Saitama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Shizuoka will play again against Saitama (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game when 14th ranked Shinagawa (2-27) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Okayama (17-8) 105-65 on Saturday. Okayama dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 40. Okayama forced 24 Shinagawa turnovers and had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Shinagawa's players. The winners were led by American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Senegalese power forward Andre Sambou (203-99) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Okayama players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 8 rebounds by forward Abu Philip (198-97) did not help to save the game for Shinagawa. Point guard Kunitatsu Ogata (179-97) added 10 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
