Saitama - Yamaguchi 102-87 No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Saitama (16-10) beat at home 12th ranked Yamaguchi (8-20) 102-87 on Sunday. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American players dominated the game. Center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Robert Sampson (203-92, college: Georgia Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 blocks and center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Yamaguchi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Saitama moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Yamaguchi keeps the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Saitama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Yamaguchi will play on the road against Toyoda (#13) in Aichi and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 30. Iwate forced 23 Shinagawa turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Iwate especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. DR Congolese center Kalongi Patrick (206-99) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Abu Philip (198-97) answered with 7 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Kunitatsu Ogata (179-97) added 11 points in the effort for Shinagawa. Canadian forward Mamadou Gueye (201-93, college: Alberta) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Gifu's players. American players dominated the game. Forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Jeffrey Gibbs (188-80, college: Otterbein) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Nagasaki's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jerrell Wright (204-91, college: La Salle) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Alex Floresca (203-96, college: San Diego) added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Gifu.
