Jarrod Uthoff

SeaHorses Mikawa (B1 League) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American 203cm forward Jarrod Uthoff, college: Iowa for season 2021-22. Uthoff played most recently at Erie BayHawks (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 15 NBA-G-League games he recorded 14.8ppg, 8.7rpg and 2.8apg last season. He also spent pre-season at the Pelicans in NBA. He helped them to make it to the quarterfinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to USBasket.com All-NBA G League 3rd Team.
Uthoff is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Russia (Zenit), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, Washington Wizards, Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies), NBA G League (Texas L., Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Raptors 905 Missisauga and Memphis Hustle) and NBA Summer League (Detroit Pistons).
Among many awards he won NBA G League Midwest Division championship title in 2020. He was selected to USBasket.com All-NBA G League 1st Team in 2020.
Uthoff attended University of Iowa until 2016 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A natural scorer who can hit the basket very easily even from behind the 3pts arch. Also, has very good offensive moves inside and beats well his opponent in 1-vs-1 situations. Defensively, he's very effective despite being lanky and has a good timing to block the opponents' shots. Understands the game very well, but he's not a big passer, neither a great athlete.
