Gifu inks Mamadou Gueye, ex Fraser Valley

Gifu Swoops (B3 League) agreed terms with 27-year old Canadian ex-international forward Mamadou Gueye (201-92kg-93, college: Alberta). He played last summer at Fraser Valley Bandits in Canadian CEBL. The last season Gueye played at Halifax Hurricanes in Canadian NBLCanada where in 9 games he had 11.2ppg, 5.6rpg and 1.3apg.
Gueye was also a member of Canadian international program for some years. He played for Canadian Senior National Team in 2018 and previously for University National Team back in 2015.
Gueye represented Canada at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast (Australia) three years ago. His team won Silver and his stats at that event were 6 games: 5.7ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.7spg, FGP: 45.8%, 3PT: 40.0%.
Gueye has played previously professionally also in Germany and Canada (Edmonton and Sudbury Five).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Canada West Regular Season in 2018. Gueye was also voted All-Canada West Rookie of the Year back in 2014 at his college time.
He attended University of Alberta until 2018 and it will be his third season as a professional player.
