Newly promoted Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano (B1 League) landed experienced 34-year old American center Wayne Marshall (211-124kg-86, college: Temple). It is actually his comeback to Nagano as he has played here before. Marshall played in the summer at Brotherly Love (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S. The last season he played at Shinshu (Japanese B2 League) where in 41 games he averaged impressive 19.6ppg, 8.3rpg, 2.5apg and 2.1bpg. Marshall helped them to win the regular season. It was a very successful year in his career as he was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Defensive Player of the Year, selected to 2nd Team and selected to All-Imports Team.
He has played also professionally in Canada (BC Titans), PBL (Lawton Ft.SC) and Japan (Osaka Evessa, Shimane Magic, Yokohama B-Corsairs and Kanazawa).
Marshall won Japanese B League D2 championship title in 2019.
Marshall attended Temple University until 2006 and it will be his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Let's have closer look into His outlook: Wayne is a strong physical presence on the inside that can score around the basket and he has a soft 15ft shot. He is a rebounder and shot blocker that changes the game on defense. His condition is the difference with him play overseas or NBA and he is committed to working on it. He is a young center with loads of potential.
