Tokyo Cinq Reves (B3 League) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old American center Joshua Crawford (211-111kg-88, college: Indiana State, agency: AgainHello). He played this summer at Toronto in Eurobasket Summer League in Las Vegas2, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. In only one ESL game he recorded 14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. The last season Crawford played at Saitama Broncos (B League D3) where in 56 games he averaged impressive 21.4ppg, 11.9rpg and 1.6apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D3 2nd Team and League Player of the Week (3 times).
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Crawford's pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in ten different countries. Crawford has played previously professionally in Bulgaria (Beroe), Dominican Rep., Israel, Lithuania (Nevezis), Morocco (MAS Fes), Slovakia (Handlova), Spain (Carballo), NBA (Indiana Pacers), Dominican Republic (Reales de La Vega) and Japan (Orange Vikings and Kumamoto Volters).
He attended Indiana State until 2010 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Strong center that moves very well on his feet. He is excellent with his back to the basket and face up. Josh is an excellent long range shooter and he can hit from 3-point range. He has quickness and athletic ability to rebound at both ends. Very good athletic abilities, long arms and good coordination. Good jumper who can easily dunk in the traffic. He can run the floor and make plays on the perimeter with his good athletic ability, nice size, and good hops.
