The Iraqi Women's Basketball League finals concluded its five-day competition in Baghdad with Ghaz Al-Shamal winning the championship title for the second year in a row. They defeated Banat Akad Ankawa with a score of 82-38. In the third-place match, Darbandikhan beat Al-Sinaat Al-Harbiya 73-30.
The tournament, which was held in a group format, highlighted a significant disparity in skill between teams from the northern cities and the Kurdistan Region compared to those from the central and southern provinces. The southern teams were eliminated early with heavy losses, despite their spirited performances. This reflects the uneven growth of women's basketball across Iraq, with the north and Kurdistan showing a more advanced competitive level.
