Ghaz Al-Shamal lands Brittany Hodges, ex Leicester R.

Ghaz Al-Shamal (1 League) signed 32-year-old American 185cm power forward Brittany Hodges (college: Furman) for the upcoming season. She was the top rebounder at Leicester Riders in the British WSLB last season, averaging 13.7ppg, 12.3rpg, and 1.3apg in three games.

She is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in seven different countries playing on five different continents. Hodges is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, Australian and of course North American leagues. She has played professionally also in Australia (Tornadoes, Slammers and Panthers), Germany (Wasserburg and Panthers), Luxembourg (Contern), Portugal (Olivais), Puerto Rico (Cangrejeras) and Saudi Arabia (Capital).

Among many awards, her team made it to the English WBBL Semifinals in 2023. Hodges was voted to Eurobasket.com Luxembourg League All-Imports Team back in 2018.
She graduated from Furman University in 2015 and this will be her eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
