Seventh-ranked Nift Al-Shamal (7-12) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked Al Kahraba (12-5) in Kirkuk on Tuesday. The visitors from Baghdad managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected easier game. Al Kahraba held Nift Al-Shamal to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Nift Al-Shamal 55-40 including 40 on the defensive glass. American guard Aaron Mitchell (188-89, college: Longwood) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Ahmed Al-Tameemi (200-84) contributed with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American guard Byron Ashe (186-95, college: Longwood) replied with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for Nift Al-Shamal. Al Kahraba have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Nift Al-Shamal keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Al-Khtot. Al Kahraba are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Al Hilla (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nift Al-Shamal will play against the league's second-placed Al Shorta (#2) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
The game between third ranked Al-Hashd (15-3) and 11th ranked AL-Adhamiya (4-17) in Baghdad ended with biggest points difference. Al-Hashd outscored guests from Baghdad 100-68. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international forward Thulfiqar Hammoodi (196-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Mohamad Haidar who added 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Hussein Rubaye responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al-Hashd have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Shorta. AL-Adhamiya at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 17 games lost. Al-Hashd will play against bottom-ranked Al Hilla (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AL-Adhamiya will play against Al-Tadamoun in Najef and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 32 Nift Al-Basra beat Al Hilla on the road 49-45. Ghaz Al-Shamal lost to Al Kahraba on its own court 82-93.



Al Hilla - Nift Al-Basra 45-49

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Nift Al-Basra (11-5) beat on the road bottom-ranked Al Hilla (1-18) 49-45. Nift Al-Basra held Al Hilla to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Dhulfiqar Al-Hchaimi (202-91) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and Diyar Abdul-Allah who added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest.
