South Korea wins East Asian Championship in Incheon. The hosts posted all the victories in the tournament and managed to beat China in the Final game, 79:68.
Both teams deserved the Final game. South Korea started the game with 19-13 lead and managed dot win the first half by 7 points. China replied with 20-17 in the third quarter and reduced to 4 points entering the last stanza. South Korea however needed a final 19-12 rally to seal the victory and the title.
Kim Mingoo (188-G-91) top-scored for the winners with 18 points and Park Chan-Hee (190-G-87) nailed 15. Kim Jong-Kyu (207-C-91) posted 13, while Lee Jung-Hyun (191-F-87) and Lee Jong-Hyun (206-C-94) had 12 each. Guo Ailun (192-SF-93) answered with 17 points in the losing effort and Li Muhao (218-C-92) had 12. Sun TongLin (208-F/C-92) and Wang Zhelin (215-PF-94) followed them with 11 points each in defeat.

Japan stepped onto the pedestal at the East Asian Championship that finished today in Incheon. They overcame Hong Kong in the consolation final tonight. Kosuke Kanamaru (193-F/G-89) erupted for 28 points and 8 rebounds to pace the winners.
Japan led by a single point 19:18 after the opening quarter. But they stretched the gap in the second frame. Japan arrived at the interval up by 7 points 41:34. Japan continued to mount the pressure in the third period. Hong Kong lagged behind to face a 10-point deficit into the fourth quarter. Japan kept Hong Kong at bay throughout the final stanza and sealed the winning outcome. Kosuke Takeuchi (206-C/F-85) netted 22 points and grabbed 15 boards for Japan. Yuya Nagayoshi (199-C-91) added 9 points for the winners. Lo Yi Ting (177-PG-87) answered with game-high 31 points for Hong Kong. Liang Man Hung (173-G-86) chipped in 11 points in the loss.
